Deadpool 3 Had Two Returning Characters From Previous Films

Deadline reports that Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams will reprise their roles from the first two Deadpool films in the upcoming Deadpool 3.

Dopinder and Blind Al, two fan-favorite characters who featured briefly in the first film before gaining bigger roles in Deadpool 2, were performed by Soni and Uggams, respectively. They’ll be joining a cast that includes the return of Ryan Reynolds as well as newcomers to the Deadpool universe in Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen.

Soni’s Dopinder first debuted in the first film as a cab driver who transports Deadpool to various locations. In the sequel, he attempts to follow Deadpool into the world of vigilantism, and by the conclusion, he has really helped rescue the day by running over the headmaster of Essex House.

Meanwhile, Uggams’ Blind Al is an elderly blind woman who resided with Wade Wilson, their home serving as a safe haven for Deadpool and his allies.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing Deadpool 3 from a prior screenplay written by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin of Bob’s Burgers. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had guaranteed fans that it will remain an R-rated film, exactly like the first two, making it the studio’s first mature-rated feature.

It will be the first feature in the Deadpool film series to be released as a result of Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. The film is set to be released on November 8, 2024.
