It can be said that, at the present time, Luffy has reached the peak of his strength when he has just awakened the sun god Nika Devil Fruit. But in One Piece chapter 1047, Kaidou tells Luffy that it’s not the devil fruit’s ability that determines the way to the top but Haki, it’s what overcomes all. So let’s find out Every Type of Luffy Haki together.
Although most of these Haki abilities were discovered and used by Luffy during his death in battle, he is slowly mastering these powers.
Luffy Haki – Conqueror’s Haki
When does Luffy use Haki? Coming to the Conqueror’s Haki that Luffy uses first in the series. Go back to the time before the Time-skip, when clashing with the Flying Mermaids and the Straw Hats got caught up in a fight they didn’t want to. Soon after, Luffy used Conqueror’s Haki to stop Motobaro.
From then until training with Silvers Rayleigh, Luffy released the Conqueror’s Haki a few more times at the Amazon Lily arena, the 5th floor of Impel Down, and Marineford. But in those times, Luffy unconsciously exploded Conqueror’s Haki without purpose.

After training with Rayleigh for 2 years, Luffy has truly mastered Conqueror’s Haki. This Haki of Luffy is getting stronger and easier to control over time. Even in the Wano Arc, despite being knocked unconscious by Kaidou, he was still able to emit Conqueror’s Haki to knock Kaidou’s minions unconscious.
Luffy Haki – Observation Haki
Before using Observation Haki, Luffy’s ability to dodge attacks was completely limited. Luffy tends to use his rubber properties to block bullets or cannons. But after using basic Observation Haki, Luffy was able to limit being hit. Even just standing still can dodge.
After the Time-skip, Luffy’s observation ability not only stops at predicting the opponent’s actions, but he can also sense where the enemy is and find the appropriate method of dodging.

Luffy Haki – Armament Haki
Luffy’s ability is very creative but that is due to the rubbery nature of Luffy’s Gomu Gomu Devil Fruit. Although it offers a variety of fighting styles, rubber is a rather fragile material and is easily damaged when encountered with ice, fire, and knives. Therefore, the use of Armament Haki has helped him a lot.
With this Haki, Luffy is like wearing a layer of armor to increase his fighting ability. This greatly increased the power of each of his attacks. Besides, it also enhances the defense ability, eliminating the weakness of rubber.
High-Level Observation Haki
Since the Whole Cake Island Arc, Luffy has been exposed to a variety of high-level powers. High-Level Observation Haki was obtained when fought Katakuri – a master of Observation Haki to the fullest extent, even seeing a short distance into the future.
After being severely beaten by Katakuri, Luffy was finally able to use High-Level Observation Haki by concentrating hard and foreseeing the future like Katakuri was doing. Then, Katakuri was defeated by Luffy.
Reaching Wano, Luffy has almost mastered this peak observation ability. Even instructing others to dodge moves just by observing.

High-Level Armament Haki
Unlike High-Level Observation Haki, High-Level Armament Haki was shown by Rayleigh while in Sabaody Archipelago. But unfortunately, he did not teach Luffy this skill. But upon reaching Wano, after befriending Hyogoro, Luffy finally learned High-Level Armament Haki or Ryou – an ability that allows the user to project their Haki outwards and infuses the target causing it to be destroyed from within.
This is a useful ability when fighting against opponents with tough skin like Kaidou or Big Mom. Even with this ability, Luffy was able to remove ring bombs from prisoners’ necks without affecting them.
High-Level Conqueror’s Haki
Recalling the war between Roger and Whitebeard in the past, when their weapons did not touch each other, Conqueror’s Haki made the world shake violently like Kaidou and Big Mom, or Shanks and Whitebeard.
With the rank of an emperor, the use of High-Level Conqueror’s Haki was a prerequisite. Just by fighting and failing repeatedly, shortly after the battle of Onigashima began, Luffy actually learned how to use High-Level Conqueror’s Haki and fought an epic battle with Kaidou.
Conqueror’s Haki can basically only be released from the beginning and overwhelm the will of the enemy, rendering them unconscious. But with High-Level Conqueror’s Haki, Luffy is also able to channel it and attack enemies with this Haki and become one of the few who can reach High-Level Conqueror’s Haki.
